Scientific and R&D bodies joined forces
The Institut Français de la Vigne et du Vin (IFV), the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA), Montpellier SupAgro, the Institut des Hautes Etudes de la Vigne et du Vin (IHEV), IRSTEA, SUDVINBIO, the Occitanie Regional Chamber of Agriculture and the AgriSud-Ouest Innovation competitive cluster gather together for SITEVI on a joint "Research and Innovation" stand.
These scientific and R&D organisations which work together on innovative projects for the sector's firms, both in winegrowing and winemaking, mobilise specifically for this edition of SITEVI to present the major challenges that winegrowing is likely to be facing tomorrow.
5 major themes
On the stand, will be presented all the latest progress made in research, training, innovation and transfer in the vine and wine sector around five main topics:
- reducing chemical inputs and examining their alternatives
- agroecology, sustainable development and organic winegrowing
- digital and robotic technology
- disease-resistant grape varieties
- innovation in winemaking
Tasting sessions of new disease-resistant grape varieties will also be held in the stand's tasting area.
Another original highlight of the stand: a "demo" zone, where will be displayed the latest innovations of the sector.
