Description
Temperature increases, modification of rainfall, more intense extreme events: climate change affects viticulture everywhere, requiring that new solutions be developed to adapt to them. This presentation takes stock of these impacts and solutions from work conducted since 2021 by the LACCAVE project, then presents the sector’s national climate strategy. It then develops an analysis of two climate events which severely affected winegrowers, in particularly in the south of France: the heat wave of 28 June 2019 (presentation of study on the Gard and Hérault departments) and the late frost on 6 to 8 April 2021 (results from IFV and INRAE feedback).
